Christmas stockingsBecause stockings are often filled with candy and other sugary treats, it might be a good idea to substitute this candy for something that can improve your child’s dental health instead of harming it. Oral hygiene stocking stuffers can help motivate your child to take extra care of their teeth this holiday season.

Oral Hygiene Stocking Stuffers

Below are a few fun dental hygiene stocking stuffer ideas:

  • Sugar-Free Candy Or Gum – Because sugar-free candy and gum contains Xylitol, it can actually help to protect teeth from dental cavities and tooth decay. If your child has a sweet tooth, allow him or her indulge in sugar-free treats.
  • Fun Toothpaste Flavors – Kids can sometimes feel like brushing their teeth is a chore. However, these days there’s no shortage of fun flavors to choose from when it comes to toothpaste. One great way to motivate your kids to care for their teeth is to pick a fun new flavor to choose from! These new flavors include pickle, Oreo, cupcake, and bacon. And don’t worry, they’ll clean your child’s teeth as well as mint flavored toothpaste.
