Healthy Breakfast Smoothies Your Kids Will Love!

We’ve all been told that breakfast is the most important meal of the day! It jump-starts your metabolism, giving you energy and helping to maintain a healthy weight. In children, it’s been shown that those who eat a healthy breakfast do better in school and testing and are absent or tardy less often than those who skip breakfast.

Unfortunately, it sometimes feels like it’s impossible to make a large, healthy meal in the morning while trying to get everyone ready for school and work! Luckily, smoothies are here to save the day! Not only are they easy and delicious, but they include the fruits and veggies that can improve the overall health and the dental health of your children!

Below are two of our favorite smoothie recipes:

Mango Smoothie

1 cup chopped mango
½ cup low fat milk
½ cup ice
¼ cup plain, low-fat yogurt
1 tbsp honey

Blueberry Blast Smoothie

½ cup milk
½ vanilla yogurt
1 cup frozen blueberries
2 tsp honey

Blend, pour, and enjoy!

We want all of our little patients to be healthy, happy, and eat a nutritious breakfast! We hope that at your child’s next appointment, you’ll let us know how you like these smoothies!
