Crowns
Crowns may be placed for a number of reasons:
- If tooth decay has destroyed too much of a tooth or exposed the tooth's root a crown may be needed in order to protect the tooth from future decay or to save the tooth.
- Crowns can also be placed for cosmetic reasons. Although this may not be super important to parents, a child's confidence may be shaken if teeth are cracked, broken or missing. Crowns can be placed to restore a beautiful smile.
